Hey! I'm Ash. Born and raised in South Carolina - yes, I do have a southern accent; yes, I can read; no, I am not married to my brother or my cousin.
I'm a huge fan of MMA, animals, good books, live music, the outdoors, road trips, weird noses and funny memes. I collect owls and Pez memorabilia, rescue animals, and talk too much. I started this Girly MMA blog over 5 years ago to provide play by plays and recaps of live UFC events. In February of 2013, I started a Twitter account just to keep up and interact with some of my favorite MMA icons and I've had a blast. Through the years, I've enjoyed Pride, Bellator, UFC, Elite, Strikeforce, K1, KOTC, WSOF and many local MMA events.
